Agreeing to these terms

By downloading or using Kachimi you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. These terms are between you and the developer of Kachimi. Apple is not a party to them, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its contents.

What the app does

Kachimi identifies trading cards from a photograph and shows an estimate of what that printing is worth. Identification is a best effort by a computer vision model. It will sometimes be wrong, especially on damaged cards, unusual lighting, or printings that look nearly identical to each other. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

About the prices

Prices come from public marketplace data and are updated daily. They describe what similar cards have recently sold or been listed for. They are not:

• an appraisal or valuation of your specific card,
• an offer to buy or sell anything,
• a guarantee that a card will sell at that figure,
• financial, investment or tax advice.

A card's real value depends on its condition, its authenticity and who wants it that day, none of which the app can judge from a photograph. Where a price is an asking price rather than a completed sale, the app says so, because the two are not the same thing. Get a professional opinion before making a decision of consequence.

Kachimi Pro

Some features are part of a paid subscription called Kachimi Pro, offered monthly or annually.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto renewal at least 24 hours before it ends.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price of the plan you chose.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings. Cancelling stops the next charge, and Pro stays active until the period you already paid for ends.
• Prices are shown in the app in your local currency, and may change. We will not change the price of a period you have already paid for.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy, not by us.

Your collection is your responsibility

Your collection is stored on your device and we hold no copy of it. Deleting the app, losing the phone or resetting it will lose that data, and we cannot recover it for you.

Acceptable use

Please do not attempt to break, overload or reverse engineer the app or the service behind it, scrape the price data in bulk, resell or redistribute the data, or use Kachimi to break the law. We may stop providing the service to anyone who does.

Intellectual property

Kachimi, its name, its design and its software belong to the developer. Card images, card names, set names and logos belong to their respective owners and appear in the app only to identify real cards. Price data is sourced from third parties and remains theirs.

No affiliation

Kachimi is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any card publisher, game developer, grading company or marketplace. Card images, names and logos belong to their owners and appear only to identify real cards and sets.

The app is provided as it is

Kachimi is provided without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that identification will be accurate, that prices will be correct or current, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from a decision you made using the app, including buying, selling, grading or insuring a card. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes, and continuing to use the app means you accept the updated version.
